Tasting room
Our tasting room is the beating heart of the village and lives in a beautiful restored stone barn dating from the 1850s. Our wines are available to taste in our structured flights, accompanied by some cheese and charcuterie. The Tasting Room is bordered on one side by the kitchen garden and on another by our wood-fired oven and asado grill. We love cooking with fire and will get these going for special events.
We are open 7 days and you’re very welcome to drop in any time between 11am and 5pm.
We recommend you book a table for our range of tasting flights if you can.
Please note - we are a cash-less tasting room and only accept cards for payment.
Tasting Flights
We offer a range of seated wine flights that our knowledgeable team will guide you through. These range from the Classic Alkina flight, to an International flight from our sister wineries around the world, up to our Micro-Terroir flight.
All flights come with charcuterie, cheese, bread and accompaniments. Our wines are served in Riedel Veritas Old World Syrah glassware, and are accompanied by sparkling Adelaide Hills spring water from A Rock and a Hard Place.
CLASSIC FLIGHT - $30
Taste the best of the 'Kin by Alkina' range as well as our flagship Old Quarter. Five wines + cheese and charcuterie (allow 60 minutes).
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT - $50
Drawing fine wines from Alejandro Bulgheroni Family Vineyards, you can explore some of the world's finest terroirs, all from the comfort of your seat. 5 rotating wines from Australia, Argentina, Italy, USA and Uruguay, plus cheese and charcuterie (allow 60 minutes).
Kitchen Garden Lunch
Our Kitchen Garden Lunch is available on Saturday and Sunday for groups over 10 at $70 per head. Cynthia and her team prepare creative seasonal dishes from our Organic Kitchen Garden, along with hot snacks, cheeses, charcuterie, and local sourdough. All dietaries can be catered for, please advise at time of booking. Please email info@alkinawine.com to check availability.
