“This project feels regal and well resourced. Keep your eyes on it. Organic farmed. Game meat, white pepper, dark, plummy fruit, a bit of black olive and ferrous earthiness here too. Similar to taste with a whack of clove spice. Medium weight almost cooler climate feel to the wine (!) with a building flourish of chalky tannins in a wave from mid palate. Finishes a little salty-distracting, but hey. Nice one, team, for something a bit out of the Barossa norm.”

“A more traditional style of Barossa Shiraz here with a good dose of whole bunch complexity which is a crowd pleaser and sure to have very wide appeal. Bright deep ruby in colour, it opens up with an array of dark, sweet fruits, predominantly blueberry and blackberry, before tarry, spicy elements add interest. The palate is then dry and fleshy, more in the fruit pastille zone with open knit tannins providing a supple structure for mid-term drinking. It’s a good launching point into the Alkina range.”
