The follow-up to our first Birdsong once again dials up the wild beauty and energy of Shiraz in our rocky vineyard. Old vine Mataro in ’21 was so good that a splash of it made it in here too. Bright and pure red and blue fruit drive powerfully through the palate, allied with structured tannins and savoury inflections.
Vineyard Notes
Block 5&6 Shiraz (from the Old Quarter) makes up the backbone of the blend and is complemented by Polygon 11 Shiraz (young vine, schist) and old vine Block 3 Mataro. NASAA certified organic and biodynamic.
