Pedro Parra, PhD, is one of the world's leading authorities on terroir. A terroir consultant and wine-grower, he has devoted his life to understanding the intimate relationship between place and wine. Trained in France, where he earned a PhD in Terroir, he has spent more than two decades exploring some of the world's finest vineyards, learning from great winegrowers and studying their soils, rocks and wines.
